What sets this ski area apart
Diavolezza means she-devil in Romansh. The col lies at 2958 metres in the Bernina Alps and is served year-round by a cable car from the Val Bernina. The valley station itself already sits at 2093 metres, right beside the Bernina Diavolezza stop on the Bernina railway. So you arrive by train and step straight into the cable car.
The best-known descent runs ten kilometres across the Pers and Morteratsch glaciers down to the terrace of the Morteratsch restaurant, again directly at a railway stop. A connecting piste links Diavolezza to the Lagalb on the other side of the valley.
And then there is something no other Swiss ski area offers in the same way: the night descent by full moon, Glüna Plaina in Romansh, with no floodlights at all, because moonlight on the glacier is enough to ski by. At most five dates per winter.
