What sets this ski area apart
Carì is a small holiday village in the municipality of Faido, high above the Leventina and reachable from Faido all year round. It grew out of a former maiensäss belonging to Campello, that is out of barns and huts occupied only in spring and autumn.
That explains its layout: no grown village core, but a scattered settlement on a terrace with holiday houses added. The church of San Carlo Borromeo e Lorenzo is by the architects Alberto Finzi and Renzo Lucchini.
For skiing, Carì is one of the smallest areas in Ticino and lives almost entirely off visitors from the Leventina and the Sopraceneri. Anyone looking for quiet and low prices will find both.
